The Patty Granville Arts Center provides two elegant proscenium theatres with seating for 720 and 200. The Arts Complex also includes the Plaza Theatre which is located at 521 W. State Street on the Square in historic downtown Garland. The Plaza Theatre has seating for 350. All three theatres have computerized lighting systems and state of the art technology.
The Atrium at the Granville Arts Center is a 6,500 square foot ballroom that will accommodate up to 450 people seated for a dinner. The ballroom is encased in glass on two sides and opens onto a beautiful outdoor courtyard. The luxurious glass-lined lobby covers more than 3,100 square feet. The Atrium provides an elegant setting for banquets, receptions, weddings, trade shows, exhibits and conventions.
The Nicholson Memorial Library System is anchored by the Central Library in downtown Garland and includes four neighborhood branch libraries, where citizens can access more than 430,000 books, as well as popular magazines, newspapers, videotapes and audio recordings. Each library provides public access computers and software and Internet access. Remote users can access the Library’s catalog and subscription information resources.
