Programming produced internally by CGTV staff includes; 26 City Council Agenda Promos; 6 Garland In Focus programs; 52 Job Opportunity programs; 10 Public Service programs – Recycling, Water Recycling, Department Informational Programs, Police and Fire Holiday Safety tips; 10 City department training programs and several Public Service Announcements. City Council meets on the first and third Tuesday each month and is broadcast live. Re-broadcasts of these meetings are the week of City Council only.
City Council Promo Council member reads the agenda items for the Council meeting and is broadcast throughout the day of the meeting.
City Council Work Sessions are held on the Monday before the regular City Council meetings and are broadcast live. Re-broadcast of these meetings are the week of City Council meetings only.
Plan Commission meetings are held the second and fourth Monday of each month and broadcast live. Re-broadcast of these meetings are the week of Plan & Zoning only.
Garland In Focus is a bi-monthly program about different city departments and how they serve the citizens of Garland and other topics of interest about city programs. The Garland Police and Fire departments are a regular part of this program.
Arts In Action is a monthly program about the Arts in Garland. Topics cover Garland Summer Musicals, Garland Civic Theatre, Children On Stage, Garland symphony and local art display.
Crime Watch is a monthly program about the Garland Police Department. Topics usually cover safety tips, re-enactments and interviews with officers, staff and volunteers.
Puppy TV is a bi-monthly program highlighting the Animal Services Department. A 15 min. segment showing puppies, kittens playing in a playground area and information on adoption.
Stormwater Spotlight is a 30 min. spot with several in-house produced PSA’s and infomercials on the importance of keeping storm drains clear of debris and pollution.
Video Billboard City announcements in a character generated format played after scheduled programming.
CGTV uses outside producers for additional programming that include shows from NASA, Texas Parks & Wildlife, Army News and the areas mass transit system DART.
